Sure, he sometimes gets mistaken for Newt Gingrich or Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings, but there are countless others, as well. Which of these do you think he resembles most? Because running around Spencer – providing world class client service and furiously looking for mysteriously mislaid paperwork – just isn’t enough for him, Kevin Clarkin recently trained for and completed his first ever half marathon.
The Amish Country Bird-In-Hand Half Marathon was held in early November on a brisk, beautiful morning in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Aided by upbeat music on his iPod, the cheers of his ever-loyal wife and daughter and the promise of a post race binge at nearby Jennie’s Diner, our fearless vice president of account services crossed the 13-mile finish line in fine shape and at a respectable time.
Asked if he plans to do it again, Clarkin is adamant that he won’t. Maybe that’s because completing the race was a bucket list item, but we suspect it may be the realization that by the five-mile mark he had only burned off the equivalent of five donuts…
In a cook-off to determine Spencer’s ultimate “foodie”… Our most diminutive Art Director took on the culinary stylings of the one and only… Martha Stewart! The delicious sweet-treat lasted about 2 minutes at our monthly food day extravaganza. Can you guess which is which? Remember, Amy is an expert in Photoshop.
